Reasons to learn a foreign language (1)

I am one of those who just like learning languages only for the languages’ sake. The new construction of words and sentence as well as the rhythm in which they are spoken can just be exciting and beautiful.

Need is another reason that some people learn other languages. Students have to learn foreign languages because they are included in their curriculum. Some jobs need language skills as a plus.
No matter where the reason falls into, our fancy and curiosity can be dramatically mobilized. In this blog post we will make a list of something that a foreign language can give us.

1. Easier to find a job

In the increasingly more competitive job market, a resume where people see you can speak a foreign language or two will definitely make you stand out among the candidates and enhance your chance of being recruited.

2. Improve the Performance in your Current Job

Working with a company that is trying to expand its international presence, your language skills will be obviously excel and greater responsibilities accompanied with better opportunities will be granted to you, no matter it means you need to travel abroad or just stay at home doing market research and something similar.

3. Enrich your life view

As you learn a foreign language, it’s inevitable that you will come across the culture through reading books and newspapers, seeing films and listening to music in the language. Your horizon will be expanded this way. And you will learn from other countries weaknesses and strengths.

4. Enjoy Your Holidays

When you travel to abroad for holidays, with your language knowledge you can easily immerse into local people’s daily life. They will love to talk with you and tell everything you want to know about. You will not end up regretting not having visited one special place when you are back home.

5. Make New Friends

An affinity will be established when you speak in the same tongue with people from other countries.

6. Enlarge your Education Choices

When you think about receiving education in a particular field, your choices may be unlimited if you look to the universities all over the world instead of local ones.
