5. Commit to learning the language until you succeed in achieving your goals. In order to master the language to a high level, you normally need months of immersion and years of serious study. Just think about what you do with your native language, you read newspapers and books, write articles, watch TV programs, make conversations as well as speeches everyday. Even so, sometimes you find it difficult to find the right words for your writing or speech.

6. Learn all that you can about the culture that is associated with the language and everything about the native people.

7. Learn to think in the language. It takes practice but can be done. Try to master the way that the people thinks.

8. Watch videos and listen to radios in the language. If you are learning a popular foreign language, you will be able to find lots of DVDs of popular movies that are dubbed in the language. They are great to learn a foreign language. It’s not only fun but knowledge.

9. Make good use of the internet. Tons of e-courses, online videos, online audios, online radios and many more resources on any language that you can imagine are all standing by for you to find them on the Internet.

10. After being around it for sometime, you might want to attend a language school or hire some mentors to speed up your process and guide you to your success. Although you can teach yourself quite a bit, after a while you will find that you have reached a plateau and cannot really achieve the level of success you desire without some professional and expert help.
